Jump, table, tunnel... agility is fun!

For the last 2 weeks, I visited an awesome place where I get treats for romping around. Imagine that! Jumping over bars, through tyres and onto a table. This week they want me to go through a tunnel. Strange why I have to run inside when it is easier to go around it. But that seems to be the only way I'll get that yummy treat. Mom tells me this is agility. I love it. I made some friends in class too.

A shoulder to lie on, an obstacle to jump through

This weekend was eventful. I had my paws trimmed by mom. Something I tolerated with lots of treats.
We visited the nearby lake, which we haven't done since it started snowing heavily. The lake is still frozen over. Dad says people are ice fishing on it. The path was plowed but some ice froze over it. It was funny to see humans struggle on ice. No issues for me.
Mom was very upset over something yesterday. She cried a lot and hugged me. I tried to be a good boy and just stayed beside her. I wish i could tell her  things are going to be okay. That i'll be right by her side through it all.
Today is a better day for us all. I had my first intro to agility class. It was FUN!! I got to meet 3 fur friends. We walked strangely between poles, jumped on a table, jumped over some bars and jumped into a tyre. I love jumping. Mom says we get to do it all again next week! Yippee!!

New Year, new cold

Happy 2014 everyone! Mom and Dad had a tropical escape for the last 2 weeks. Boarding was no fun. When they got back, I was so excited I can barely contain it in my butt wag! I thought this meant more time outdoors. Nope, the weather is too brutal for that. It is so cold these days (going as low as -20+ C) we can only go out for 5-10 mins a time. We were running around chasing the torch light this evening. Then my paws started bleeding. Ouch. I think the ice/snow mix was too abrasive. This is going to be a long winter.

Stay warm and protect those paws my fur friends.
